How scoring works
Quality, balance, and budget discipline.
The engine rates player-seasons in their own era, then asks whether the XI has enough structure to survive sixteen matches.
- I
Player-seasons are rated with DPR, DPI, and final FPR values using era-adjusted batting and bowling baselines. A strike rate of 150 means different things in different years, so era context is baked into every player rating.
- II
Salary is purse-normalized to keep cross-era budget fairness. Cap hit uses (player_salary / season_purse) * game_cap, so expensive historical seasons carry the right modern budget weight.
- III
Team score combines batting strength, bowling strength, role balance, weak-link pressure, reliability, and value efficiency. To unlock 16–0, the XI must clear both strength and structure thresholds while passing hard locks.
