Privacy policy
What we collect, and what we don't.
Play 16-0 is free to play, and most of it needs no account at all. Here is exactly what touches your data — sign-in where it is used, analytics, cookies, and the advertising planned to help cover server costs.
- I
No account is required to draft, simulate a season, or view results in Normal, Expert, or Franchise mode — you can play those without giving us any personal details. The Daily Challenge is the one mode that asks you to sign in, so each player’s official attempt counts once.
- II
Your theme choice, game progress, and an unfinished draft are saved only in your browser’s local storage. This data stays on your device and is never sent to us unless you submit a result.
- III
If you choose to sign in with Google to save your career, we store your account identifier, your Google display name, and your game progression (streaks, bests, and the ids of your saved results) on our servers so they follow you across devices. We do not store your email address, your contacts, or anything else from your Google account. Signing out keeps the progress already on your device; to delete the account record itself, use the contact page below.
- IV
When you post a run to a public leaderboard, the handle you choose and your result are stored on our servers and displayed publicly alongside your ranking.
- V
We use Google Analytics (provided through Firebase) to understand how the game is used — for example page views, approximate location (country and city), device and browser type, and general usage patterns. This helps us improve Play 16-0. Google processes this data on our behalf and may set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser. Google Analytics 4 does not record your full IP address. Analytics cookies are only used after you allow them in our cookie banner; in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland they stay off by default until you do (see section VII).
- VI
If you turn on the optional daily nudge, your browser gives us an anonymous push token (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) which we store on our servers to send you at most one notification per day. The token identifies your browser, not you. Turning the nudge off, or revoking notification permission in your browser, stops the sends and removes the token.
- VII
Advertising. Play 16-0 is free to play. To help cover server costs, the site may show limited display advertisements through Google AdSense on content pages (never during an active draft). Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads where permitted. You can read how Google uses data at Google’s partner-site policy and manage ad personalization at Google Ad Settings. You can accept, decline, or fine-tune non-essential cookies in our cookie banner at any time (reopen it from Cookie settings in the footer). In the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, once personalized ads are served Google additionally shows its own consent message.
- VIII
We never sell or rent your personal data to third parties. You can limit tracking by declining non-essential cookies in the cookie banner on this site — reopen it any time from Cookie settings in the footer — or by using your browser’s privacy settings, a tracker-blocking extension, or Google’s opt-out tools linked above.
- IX
If you leave an optional support message, we store the identity you entered, the note, payment route, selected UPI amount (when applicable), and submission time in a private owner inbox. The note is never shown on the public Supporters XI. It is used only to read supporter feedback and match it with a payment receipt; you can ask us to delete it through the contact page.
- X
To remove a leaderboard entry or any record we hold, reach us through the contact page and we will delete it.
Effective 17 July 2026
If we make a material change to how data is handled, we will update this page. Play 16-0 is intended for a general audience and involves no real-money gaming.
